On Wednesday May 23, 2018 in evening Leduc fire services had responded to a fire in Willow Park around 4pm. The flames was spanning at least 20 feet high. Fire fighters had responded to a fully engulfed shed and took approximately just over an hour to put out. Deputy Chief Jared Kelly of Leduc Fire Leduc stated;
“This scene is still under investigation however we can say there was no harm to life”
Leduc Fire owns Multiple trucks in which some belong to the city of Leduc and other to the county. The scene had all vehicles in Leduc Fire services on scene. This Included Ladders, Engine, Tankers and a forensics unit.
“There was a lot going on ” Said Deputy Chief Kelly
The fire was determined to be accidental by fire service. Damages have been estimated to be around $60,000. While the cause is undetermined It is believed that the origin of the fire started in the engine of a vehicle located in the garage.
