Suspicious Death In Callingwood Ruled Homicide


Wednesday morning, Edmonton Police were called to a suspicious death in the Callingwood area, in the area of 174 Street and 64 Ave. Residents reported to police hearing gunshots, some residents even said they thought it was fire crackers. Police arrived to the scene near 11pm. Paramedics responded to a scene where they had transport one male to the hospital in serious conditions in which he gained treatment.

The male did pass away later in hospital from his injuries. The male was later identified as 23 year old, Ibrahim Zoker by the Edmonton Medical Examiner. EPS ruled the death as a homicide, and are now looking toward citizens to help with the investigations. At this time no more information has been released as Police continue to investigate.

Zoker, 21 at the time, had priors for having sexual relations to a younger girl back in March of 2011, when him and another person were convicted of having sex with a 13 year old girl at a house party, it which is was also reported that they had also abused her.
