Mid-November Storm Threatens Power For Nova Scotians

Nova Scotians are preparing for a storm with the potential for strong winds, heavy rain, and possibly, snow this evening.

According to Environment Canada, who have a Wind Warning in effect for the east coast of Nova Scotia, “strong southerly winds gusting from 80 to 100 km/h will develop this evening in the west and spread eastward reaching Cape Breton near midnight.”

The storm is set to potentially bring damage to buildings, as well as the possibility of deteriorating road conditions.

Nova Scotia Power also has it’s Emergency Operations Centre active for the storm’s potential for power outages.

The SnowCovered Storm Centre is activated, with up-to-date info on closures, outages and more.
